Let's Get It formed in the summer of 2008 with five friends from Dayton, Ohio [S1]. The band's MySpace profile was created on 4 June 2008 and, by August 2008, was listing dates across the Midwest and Southwest while still unsigned [S8] [S9]. It signed to Fearless Records "just after the band's one-year anniversary" (exact date not stated) [S1] and released the Digital Spaces EP on 4 August 2009 [S3]. The debut album Masters of the Universe followed on 24 May 2011 [S21]. MusicBrainz records the group as ended in 2012 [S2].

The Fearless bio says the band aimed to build a live show "second best to no one" [S1].
